Welcome to Your Home in Porto – Canto De Luz !
My beautiful restored Merchant’s townhouse has 5 spacious suites and 3 studio apartments and is the result of a loving restoration in the heart of Porto’s old down in a quiet cobbled street running parallel to the square of Porto town hall.
Behind the traditional tiled façade is a modern architectural gem, created around an atrium that floods the building with natural light. The property is filled with custom-made furniture, original art, premium appliances and fun gadgets.
Operated as one of Porto’s most successful Guest Houses, and consistently in the top 3 on various review platforms and Traveller’s Choice winner year on year, Canto de Luz is also available for exclusive occupation here on Airbnb, when the whole space becomes yours to welcome friends and families or work colleagues travelling together as a private maison. Please note that our exclusive occupation does not include the use of the main kitchen due to Portuguese health and safety requirements. You are welcome to use the kitchenettes in our Urban Retreat 1 and City Retreat rooms to prepare small meals, or our Private chef will be happy to cater for you and serve your group in our Beautiful Orangerie.
Our rate includes Daily HouseKeeping service and Breakfast served at your table each day.
Our breakfasts have become the stuff of legend. They change daily according to the season and produce available in our local markets – always homemade with love.
Ideal for those who want a relaxing and luxurious place to stay which is a world apart from the chain hotels and poor quality accommodation otherwise available.
Note : In the grounds of the Maison is our two bedroom Villa Almada which is also available for rent but is NOT included in the whole house booking. Guests access the villa via the main Kitchen and Orangerie through the main house garden. You can see and book the Villa separately here on Airbnb – just check my listing.

| The Village is located in the pedestrian zone of Cedofeita street, an open sky “shopping mall”, with many shops, pharmacy, supermarket, cafés, restaurants, and near (5 min walk) to the art galleries as well, Torre dos Clérigos, Galerias de Paris night life of bars and discos and many other historical places and monuments. |
| Within Porto you can walk everywhere, but there are also a plethora of other options from bike and electric scooter rental to Uber and Cabify, as well as municipal bus and train services. Porto is approximately 3 hours by train from Lisbon Apolonia Station, or 2.5 hours by road to Lisbon. You can reach Porto airport within 15-20 minutes by Uber or Bolt |

The ultimate luxury stay in Sintra. There’s no other place like the villa. The views are spectacular it’s like heaven. The staff is phenomenal and the food was out of this world. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. One of the best times I’ve ever had in my life.

We went in with high expectations and yet our expectations were beyond surpassed. The home is absolutely stunning, and the location is incredible. Amir and David were incredibly helpful and responsive. We spent the entire weekend at the house. They arranged a private chef who worked at the villa for us who cooked the most delicious meals. David and his team helped make this weekend very memorable. Always making us laugh and making sure we had a drink in our hand. We will definitely be back soon!

I rented this stunning villa out for my best friends bachelorette with 14 other girls. We were completely blown away! The house is newly renovated and the definition of luxury. Everything was aesthetically pleasing! The backyard is the gem of the house, that’s where we spent most of our time. We took the all inclusive option with David & his team and every day the chef was cooking us different fresh foods (this is a must! It made our vacation 100x more relaxed and stress free not having to worry about feeding 25 picky women!) We had the best times with each other during our dinners outside on the table facing the beach. This house comfortably fit all 25 of us, it’s a huge space. David and his team helped us organize everything, it made our trip so much easier. We organized a yacht day and the yacht came with full staff who was serving us drinks the whole time, pure luxury! David recommended we take the boat to an island called Isla Mujeres for the day and we are greatful for this recommendation as it was one of our favourite days! Coolest little island ever and everyone parks their boats, plays music and just hangs out. All in all, if you’re wondering if you should book this house, don’t think anymore and just book it! It will make your entire trip. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this an unforgettable experience!!

Excellent attention from Valeria, the chef cooks excellent and the service from Javier the waiter also very well. I recommend bringing a speaker because they do not have and also shampoo and soap because there was not in the bathrooms.
