Overview
Villa Monte Serves is a stunning contemporary four-bedroom villa with a modern Zen architecture resting upon an expansive 7,000 m² landscaped garden with pine trees and spectacular 180 degree views over the protected Sintra-Cascais Natural Park overlooking the Palacio de Pena (Pena Palace) and Castelo dos Mouros (Moors Castle).
The Space
The villa sleeps eight, with 4 bedrooms, all with double/king size beds and has an extremely generous amount of space to spread out, relax and have fun offering the perfect escape for a family wanting some time on their own, or friends needing a luxury break.
With its three levels, i.e. ground floor, mezzanine/loft and lower floor the villa has a minimalistic decor in keeping with the style of the property.
Ground floor:
Through the front door, the entrance lobby overlooks through full height glass onto a central courtyard with an iconic olive tree which the house wraps around and which leads on to the pool and expansive sun terrace to either side.
The right wing of the ground floor has a beautiful open plan living room and dining room with a fireplace and full height glass doors that open onto the pool terrace and garden. Off the dining area there is a covered outdoor dining terrace with and adjacent barbecue feature. A lengthy modern kitchen with counters on either side has a very comfortable casual dining area.
The left wing contains a four-bedroom area with a master bedroom ensuite featuring a rain shower, a large in ground bath overlooking a courtyard through a full height glass door/window. The other three bedrooms, two of them with walk in closets are serviced by two spacious bathrooms. All the bedrooms have full height sliding doors that open out on to the pool terrace and overlook the gardens. The master bedroom also opens out on to an adjoining covered terrace with an outdoor lounge area.
Mezzanine/Loft:
A “T” shaped open plan loft has a panoramic glass window overlooking the central olive tree courtyard, swimming pool and garden. From here you have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful view of the Palacio de Pena and Castelo dos Mouros, which are beautifully illuminated at night. The central cosy TV room with two comfortable sofas, branches off onto the two side wings, each one of them having a living area with an adjoining study/office.
Lower Floor:
A gym area with an underwater view of the outdoor pool through two large glass windows provides the ideal environment for a good work out to burn off calories. The adjoining Spa area with an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna overlooks two beautiful olive trees and the surrounding lush garden through full height glass panels creating a tranquil environment for total relaxation.
Outdoors:
The 15 x 6 meter infinity swimming pool has a terrace that stretches the whole length of the house with 8 sun loungers and 3 big umbrellas for guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the breath taking view at the same time as getting a Portuguese tan.
In the centre of the terrace, next to the olive tree a dining table with benches provides a relaxing spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail or a meal overlooking the open swimming pool.
The garden with sprawling lawns is a perfect area for children to play safely to their heart’s contempt.

The ultimate luxury stay in Sintra. There’s no other place like the villa. The views are spectacular it’s like heaven. The staff is phenomenal and the food was out of this world. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. One of the best times I’ve ever had in my life.

We went in with high expectations and yet our expectations were beyond surpassed. The home is absolutely stunning, and the location is incredible. Amir and David were incredibly helpful and responsive. We spent the entire weekend at the house. They arranged a private chef who worked at the villa for us who cooked the most delicious meals. David and his team helped make this weekend very memorable. Always making us laugh and making sure we had a drink in our hand. We will definitely be back soon!

I rented this stunning villa out for my best friends bachelorette with 14 other girls. We were completely blown away! The house is newly renovated and the definition of luxury. Everything was aesthetically pleasing! The backyard is the gem of the house, that’s where we spent most of our time. We took the all inclusive option with David & his team and every day the chef was cooking us different fresh foods (this is a must! It made our vacation 100x more relaxed and stress free not having to worry about feeding 25 picky women!) We had the best times with each other during our dinners outside on the table facing the beach. This house comfortably fit all 25 of us, it’s a huge space. David and his team helped us organize everything, it made our trip so much easier. We organized a yacht day and the yacht came with full staff who was serving us drinks the whole time, pure luxury! David recommended we take the boat to an island called Isla Mujeres for the day and we are greatful for this recommendation as it was one of our favourite days! Coolest little island ever and everyone parks their boats, plays music and just hangs out. All in all, if you’re wondering if you should book this house, don’t think anymore and just book it! It will make your entire trip. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this an unforgettable experience!!

Excellent attention from Valeria, the chef cooks excellent and the service from Javier the waiter also very well. I recommend bringing a speaker because they do not have and also shampoo and soap because there was not in the bathrooms.
